Coordinating Minister Yusril: Two agendas at the Palace - the oath of the Supreme Court judges and the inauguration of the Minister of Finance

Two inaugurations were held at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Thursday afternoon. Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Imipas Yusril Ihza Mahendra said President Prabowo Subianto would take the oath of office as Constitutional Court Judge and also appoint a deputy finance minister. Because of the two agendas, the invitation is said to be limited.

"Yes, there are two agendas for the inauguration of officials today, the Constitutional Court and the Minister of Finance. So there are not many invited," said Yusril at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Thursday, February 5.

Yusril emphasized that the position in the Constitutional Court must be filled immediately because there was a vacancy. The nomination came from the DPR RI, but the appointment still had to be carried out by the President.

"MK has a vacancy that must be filled ... the allocation is from the DPR ... but everything must still be inaugurated by the president," he said.

He also highlighted Adies Kadir's decision to leave the position of Deputy Speaker of the DPR to be appointed as a Constitutional Court judge.

"I salute Adies Kadir for being willing to leave his position as deputy speaker of the DPR and being inaugurated as a Supreme Court judge today," said Yusril.

Regarding the issue of the inauguration of other officials, including the Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia, Yusril admitted that he did not know whether there was an agenda and who would attend. However, he emphasized that the deputy minister of finance as part of the cabinet must be inaugurated by the President.

Yusril hopes that the officials who are inaugurated can carry out their duties well. He reminded the MK judges to be required to behave like statesmen and decide on cases with considerations of statehood, not just the supply of titles and science.
