DPR Disappointed 11 Million PBI JKN Participants Suddenly Disabled

Member of Commission IX of the House of Representatives Zainul Munasichin regretted the sudden deactivation of around 11 million participants in the National Health Insurance (JKN) program, the National Health Insurance (JKN) program, by BPJS Kesehatan.

He emphasized that this policy has a serious impact on public health services, especially patients with severe diseases.

Based on the report he received, the sudden deactivation had an impact on at least more than 100 dialysis patients who had been relying on routine services through the JKN PBI.

"We regret this very much because it was done without prior notice. Patients who should have received services were disturbed, even losing access to treatment suddenly," Zainul told reporters, Thursday, February 5.

According to him, BPJS Kesehatan should give notice to the people who receive PBI JKN if they will update or update the membership data. The sudden deactivation, said Zainul, is very detrimental to small communities that depend entirely on state health insurance.

"It's not suddenly disabled like it is now. As a result, many patients cannot get health services through the PBI JKN. This concerns the basic rights of the public to health services," he said.

Zainul asked BPJS Kesehatan to move quickly to reactivate or reactivate PBI JKN membership for participants who were affected. He emphasized that health services, especially for patients with severe conditions such as kidney failure, cannot wait long.

"Health services are about life. For seriously ill patients, there is no room for delay," said Zainul.

In addition, Zainul emphasized that the issue of the sudden deactivation of millions of PBI JKN participants would be the subject of serious discussion and evaluation in a meeting of Commission IX of the DPR with BPJS Kesehatan in the near future.

"We will ask for an explanation and ensure that this kind of incident does not happen again," he concluded.
