He said the flooding that hit the Tangerang Regency area was largely caused by high rainfall and the overflowing of the Cidurian and Cimanceuri Rivers.

"The main factor is high rainfall and overflowing rivers. Hopefully, the flood will soon recede. As for logistics, thank God, it is smooth and it is ensured that all of them are distributed to the people affected by the flood," he said.

As a handling step, the Tangerang Regency Government (Pemkab) has distributed logistical assistance for 13,000 households affected by the flood.

Head of Disaster Management at the Tangerang Regency Social Service (Dinsos), Sugih Suryagalih, said the assistance was in the form of rice, sardines, instant noodles, biscuits, and cooking oil.

"From January 2 to 30, 2026, we have provided logistical assistance to approximately 13,000 households affected by floods throughout Tangerang Regency," he said.
