6 COVID-19 Patients In North Sumatra Died In One Day

MEDAN - Six COVID-19 patients in North Sumatra died in one day. The total number of dead cases as of May 31 was 1,052 positive for COVID-19.

"There were six COVID-19 patients in North Sumatra who died in one day with the most residents in Medan," said the spokesman for the North Sumatra COVID-19 Handling Task Force Dr. Aris Yudhariansyah in Medan, quoted by Antara, Monday, May 31.

The six people who died in that day, namely five patients from Medan City and one resident of Deliserdang.

As of Sunday, May 30, the number of COVID-19 patients who died in the area was still 1,046 people.

Aris Yudhariansyah said the increase in the number of patients died was in line with the increase in confirmed patients.

In one day, the number of confirmed cases increased by 98 people, bringing the total to 31,993.

The addition of 98 confirmed patients was the largest from the cities of Medan and Deliserdang or 32 and 24 people respectively and the rest from other regions.

He admitted, apart from being confirmed and died, there was also an increase in recovered patients. On the same day there were 83 patients who recovered, bringing the total to 28,523.
