JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Bima Arya Sugiarto appealed to the public to anticipate potential traffic congestion in conjunction with the 2026 National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) of the Central and Regional Governments in the Sentul area, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Monday, February 2, 2026.

The Rakornas was held at the Sentul International Convention Center (SICC) and was attended by around 4,473 participants from across Indonesia, consisting of central government, provincial, and district and city elements.

Bima Arya in his statement, Sunday, said that the presence of thousands of national participants is expected to increase the volume of vehicles on a number of roads leading to the Sentul area and its surrounding areas.

To anticipate the impact of traffic density, the Ministry of Home Affairs together with the Bogor Regency Government and related authorities have prepared integrated traffic arrangements.

"The Ministry of Home Affairs has coordinated with the Bogor Regency government to ensure traffic arrangements to minimize congestion," said Bima Arya.

He explained that security and traffic arrangements would be supported by joint personnel from various agencies that were alerted at certain points.

"There will be an addition of personnel, both from the police, TNI, Satpol PP, and the Transportation Service," he said.

Although various anticipation measures have been prepared, Bima admitted that community activities around the activity location are still potentially affected during the rakornas.

Therefore, the government apologized to the public and invited the public to adjust the time and route of travel.

"We apologize to residents who may be affected and so that the community can adjust the time and route of travel during the event," he said.

The 2026 Central and Regional Government Rakornas is a national strategic forum to strengthen policy synergies between the central and regional governments, while still trying to run in parallel with the convenience of community activities.
