JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo said that so far, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) has repaired 6,000 roads that are potholes due to the rainy season in the capital.
"For now, the Department of Road Construction has carried out (repair) almost 6,000 holes in Jakarta, yesterday we counted," said Pramono as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, January 30.
However, he said the repairs were only temporary. When it rained, he made sure his party immediately made permanent repairs.
He also appealed to road users to always ensure safety and security when driving.
"I also ask drivers to be careful in Jakarta because indeed on some roads, due to continuous rainfall, it is potholed," said Pramono.
Previously, the Head of the DKI Jakarta Road Construction Service, Heru Suwondo, had also detailed that since the beginning of January 2026, the DKI Jakarta Road Construction Service had handled around 6,000 potholes in Jakarta.
This number increased compared to December 2025 due to high rainfall.
"What we have handled, we have TL (follow-up) there are 6,000-an," said Heru.
He also emphasized that road repairs are still ongoing every day.
"We keep going. As soon as there is a hole, close it. There is a hole, close it," said Heru.
He explained that the repair of the roads did not involve third parties. All work was carried out by the DKI Jakarta Department of Road Construction task force, namely the Yellow Force, with materials that had been prepared in advance.
"Procurement of materials is always there. We put it in the warehouse. As soon as there is a damaged road, we immediately follow up, the work is the Yellow Army," said Heru.
