JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak said that as many as 13 prospective Hajj officers had to be removed during the process of education and training of Hajj service officers (PPIH) in Saudi Arabia for various reasons.
"Last night, the report to me was that 13 people were removed from the training process," said Dahnil after the PPIH Saudi Arabia inauguration at the Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory, Jakarta, Friday, January 30, reported by ANTARA.
Dahnil said that the participants who were removed were for various reasons, such as indiscipline, forgery of attendance, chronic illness, and others. There are even participants who falsified the results of the Medical Check Up (MCU), even though they have tuberculosis (TB).
He emphasized that there was no special treatment for those who would become Hajj officers. All education and training processes must be followed thoroughly and transparently. Considering that these officers will be the front line in serving the guests of Allah SWT.
"Finally, we want people who are ready to focus here for 20 days, take part in training, follow the rules and so on. And all of that is a decision made by the coaching team from friends of the TNI and Polri," said Dahnil.
The rules do not only apply during training, when they have departed for the Holy Land, all Hajj officers must also be disciplined and carry out their respective duties and functions. If they neglect their work, then strict sanctions await them.
"Yes, we evaluate, we will immediately issue it. So this later, it's like this, the public must know that these Hajj officers are paid, they are paid. So it's really tiring, if my term is 25 hours," he said.
Previously, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak again reminded the function of the haj officer is to provide services to the pilgrims, not just to participate in the "nebeng" haj.
"We want to ensure that the haj officers are the main intention of being a haj officer, not people who are not going to the haj. Because they have been trained for quite some time as a team," he said.
The Saudi PPIHArab have undergone 20 days of training and education at the Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory, Jakarta. They will then undergo online training for 10 days.
According to Dahnil, the profiles of Hajj officers this year are different backgrounds, ranging from doctors, security personnel, journalists, even professors to academics. All of them must be under one flag as Hajj officers.
