To Famine, Central Sulawesi Regional Police Block 11 Logistics Gathering Points For The MIT Poso Group

POSO - The rest of the Poso East Indonesia Mujahidin (MIT) Wanted List (DPO) group continues to be hunted by joint officers. To be optimal in the field, the Central Sulawesi Police formed a new unit, a combination of TNI and Police personnel.

The Head of Public Relations of the Central Sulawesi Police, Kombes Didik Supranoto, said the task of these troops was to hinder the movement of the MIT Poso DPO in finding logistical needs.

"This has been a combination of the TNI and the National Police, there are around 80 personnel who from the analysis of operations in places that might be estimated as places of escape or looking for logistics," said Didik in Palu, as reported by Antara, Monday, May 31

This new unit is outside the Greater Madago Task Force whose task is also to hunt down the MIT group. Didik added that these troops were stationed in eleven bulkheads in the districts of Poso, Sigi and Parigi Moutong.

The location mentioned was allegedly the place where the MIT Poso DPO dropped off from the mountains to look for logistics.

According to police data, there are still nine Poso MIT DPOs who are still roaming in mountainous areas in the Poso, Sigi and Parigi Moutong regencies.

Meanwhile, the total number of personnel of the Madago Raya Task Force combined with the TNI-Polri is 808 people.

As previously reported, the Madago Raya Task Force Team formed three teams to pursue the remaining nine members of the East Indonesia Mujahidin (MIT) terrorist group on the wanted list (DPO).

The three teams consisted of a pursuit team, a partition team, and a preventive activity team for Poso residents so as not to be disturbed from the Poso MIT DPO activities.
