BOGOR - The Bogor Regency Police Pamong Praja Unit (Satpol PP), West Java, has disciplined 24 buildings without permits and hawkers along Jalan Raya Puncak, Cisarua District, as an effort to enforce regional regulations and shape the area.

Head of the Bogor Regency Satpol PP Cecep Imam Nagarasid said that the discipline was carried out against buildings and stalls that stood in the road space and did not have a permit in accordance with the applicable regulations.

"In total there are 24 buildings and stalls that we have ordered along the Puncak route. This activity is part of the enforcement of the Regional Regulation and the arrangement of strategic areas," said Cecep Imam Nagarasid.

He explained that of the total, there was one building in the form of a post that was demolished together with the building owner's manager, as well as 23 stalls of street vendors along the Puncak Highway.

According to Cecep, the discipline was carried out persuasively and humanistically by involving the ranks of the Cisarua Unit Satpol PP, so that activities could run orderly and conducive without causing security disturbances.

"We prioritize a persuasive approach, but remain firm because this concerns public order and the safety of road users," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 27.

Cecep added that the Puncak road is a strategic area with a high level of traffic density, so that the existence of illegal buildings and PKL stalls has the potential to disrupt road functions and endanger the community.

In addition, discipline is also carried out to support the arrangement of the Puncak area so that it is more orderly, safe, and comfortable, both for local residents and tourists.

He emphasized that the Bogor Regency Satpol PP would continue to carry out continuous supervision and discipline, especially in areas prone to violations of public order.

"We appeal to the public to comply with the rules and not to build or sell in prohibited locations, for the common good," said Cecep.

The order is part of the Bogor Regency Government's commitment to maintaining public order and enforcing regional regulations in strategic areas.
