JAKARTA - The Chairman of Commission III of the DPR, Habiburokhman, responded to the determination of a suspect against Hogi Minaya (43), the husband of the victim of a pickpocket incident that occurred on Solo Street, Maguwoharjo, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, on April 26, 2025 at around 05.30 WIB.

This Gerindra politician assessed that the establishment of a suspect against Hogi by the Sleman Police raised big questions about the sense of justice.

"Someone who tries to protect his family must face the legal trap, while the perpetrator of the crime dies as a result of his own actions. The law must give people a sense of security, not fear for those who defend themselves," said Habiburokhman quoted from a post on his Instagram account, quoted VOI.ID, Monday, January 26.

He said Commission III of the DPR considered that this matter needed to be seen clearly and fairly, not merely reading the article, but also considering conscience and the context of the event.

"Wednesday, January 28, the regional police chief and the Sleman Kajati will be called together with Mr. Hogi and his lawyer, as an effort to seek the justice that should be," he continued.
