JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Education Office (Disdik) issued Circular Letter (SE) Number 9/SE/2026 regarding the implementation of distance learning (PJJ) for all educational units in the capital.
The decision was taken to maintain the health and safety of students in the midst of extreme weather that hit Jakarta.
"This decision is a follow-up to the Circular Letter of the Secretary of the DKI Jakarta Regional Government," said the Head of the DKI Jakarta Education Office, Nahdiana, in Jakarta, Friday, January 23.
In the SE, the DKI Jakarta Education Office also contains several provisions as follows:
1. All educational units are required to implement distance learning during extreme weather.
2. The head of the education unit is requested to provide assistance and monitoring for the implementation of PJJ, and to provide alternative learning if there are technical constraints, in coordination with the Education Sub-Directorate or the Education Office.
3. The head of the education unit must maintain intensive communication with parents/guardians of students and residents of the education unit regarding the implementation of PJJ.
4. This circular is valid until January 28, 2026.
This step is also in line with the prediction of extreme weather delivered by the Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) DKI Jakarta.
"This circulation is to be a concern and to be implemented as well as possible and with full responsibility," said Nahdiana.
