KPK Searches PMPTSP Madiun Office Related to Maidi Case

MADIUN - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched the Office of the Investment and One-Stop Service (DPMPTSP) of the City of Madiun, East Java regarding the investigation of the alleged extortion case involving the non-active Mayor of Madiun, Maidi.

In addition, the KPK also carried out a search of the house of the Head of the DPMPTSP Sumarno. The two searches were carried out on Thursday, January 22.

Reported by ANTARA, the KPK team came to the DPMPTSP office on Jalan Mayjend Panjaitan, Madiun City, with four black Toyota Innova cars at around 09.00 WIB and left the location at around 18.00 WIB.

When leaving the location, the officers carried a large suitcase that was suspected to contain documents about permits.

It is suspected that the document is related to evidence needed by investigators to help uncover the case of alleged corruption with the modus fee project and CSR funds and other receipts, or gratuities in the Madiun City Government environment.

In addition to the Madiun City DPMPTSP Office and the house of the Head of the Madiun City DPMPTSP Sumarno, on the same day the KPK also searched the house of the Head of the Madiun City PUPR Service Thariq Megah on Jalan Tanjung Manis XIV, Manisrejo Village, Taman District, Madiun City.

At the location, the KPK team left the location at around 16.30 WIB. They carried a black suitcase and one cardboard box that was suspected to contain additional evidence for the investigation.

Previously, on January 19, 2026, the KPK confirmed that it had carried out a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) against the Mayor of Madiun Maidi regarding project rewards and corporate social and environmental responsibility (CSR) funds in Madiun City.

Then on January 20, 2026, the KPK announced that three people were named as suspects after the OTT, namely the non-active Mayor of Madiun Maidi (MD), Rochim Ruhdiyanto (RR) as Maidi's confidant, and the Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Service of the City of Madiun non-active Thariq Megah (TM).

The KPK then detained the suspects for the first 20 days from January 20 to February 8, 2026. The detention was carried out at the KPK Red and White Building Branch State Detention House (Rutan).
