JAKARTA - Transjakarta has adjusted services on a number of routes following a number of roads that are flooded and traffic congestion in several areas of Jakarta during rush hour this afternoon.

Head of the Transjakarta Public Relations and CSR Department, Ayu Wardhani, said that the condition of puddles and congestion on a number of roads made several routes had to be shortened, diverted, and delayed in arrival.

"This step was taken to ensure operational safety and customer convenience," said Ayu in a statement, Thursday, January 22.

For the category of route deviation, Transjakarta adjusted the service of Corridor 3 Kalideres-Monas which temporarily only serves the Monas-Damai track. This adjustment was made due to waterlogging and congestion in the Pulo Nangka area.

Similar adjustments were also applied to Route 3F Kalideres-Senayan Bank Jakarta which was shortened to Senayan Bank Jakarta-Damai due to the same constraints. Meanwhile, Corridor 10 Tanjung Priok-PGC only serves the Tanjung Priok-Halim route and does not serve the Simpang Cawang Stop to PGC due to waterlogging on Jalan Sutoyo.

In addition to the route deviation, service transfers were also implemented in a number of routes. Route 10H Tanjung Priok - Senayan Roundabout was partially diverted through the JIS area and did not serve Pademangan Stop until the Red Bridge due to traffic congestion on Jalan RE Martadinata.

Route 5N Ragunan - Kampung Melayu does not serve the Gang H. Abdul Wahab Bus Stop and Buncit Market in both directions due to flooding in the Goat Market area. Meanwhile, Route 4K Pulo Gadung - Attorney General's Office, the direction of Pulo Gadung does not serve the Cawang Stop until F.O Jatinegara due to flooding in Cawang Sutoyo.

Transjakarta also noted the delay in the arrival of buses on a number of routes due to obstacles on the track. Route 6T Pasar Minggu-Velbak experienced a delay due to traffic congestion on Jalan Brawijaya.

Meanwhile, delays also occurred on Routes 5F, 6C, 6D, and JAK 48A due to waterlogging around SMP 115 towards Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio.

"We apologize for the inconvenience experienced by customers due to this adjustment. The team in the field continues to monitor the situation in real time to ensure that services return to normal immediately after road conditions allow," explained Ayu.
