Ditolak MKD, Keponakan Prabowo Rahayu Saraswati Tetap Jadi Anggota DPR

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Commission VII of the Indonesian House of Representatives, the Gerindra Party Faction, Rahayu Saraswati Djojohadikusumo, ensured that he would respect and obey the decision of the Council of Honor Court (MKD) which stated that he rejected the decision to resign as a member of the legislature.

"That there is a decision that has been issued by the MKD yesterday so that I as an Indonesian citizen of course must obey the law. In this case, as a member of the RI DPR elected from the Jakarta III District," said Rahayu when met at the parliament complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Thursday, quoted by Antara.

This was said by President Prabowo Subianto's nephew after he was scheduled to lead a working meeting of Commission VII of the DPR with the Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya.

According to Rahayu, the Constitutional Court made the decision based on a petition signed by 10,000 of its voters in the Jakarta III District.

The voice of 10,000 people, said Rahayu, expressed their rejection of his resignation from the parliamentary bench.

"They expressed their rejection of my resignation, yes, so I realized that if I wanted to resign, I had to resign again," said Rahayu.

"In this case, I respect and am grateful and say thank you to the public, especially my constituents in the district," added Rahayu.

Rahayu added that the trust from her voters was a trigger for her to continue to provide the best performance for the community.

Therefore, he admitted that he would continue to carry this trust by becoming a legislator who truly represents the public's voice.

"If, for example, the constituents ask me to stop, of course I have to at least try to make them proud and do my job well," said Rahayu.
