ASN of the Jakarta Transportation Service, the perpetrator of illegal logging of trees has been transferred.

JAKARTA - An ASN of the South Jakarta Road Construction Service who was suspected of illegally cutting down trees on Jalan Sultan Iskandar Muda, Kebayoran Lama, has been transferred to the Administrative Affairs Section (TU).

"(ASN who cut down trees) For the time being, they were first transferred to TU," said the South Jakarta Traffic and Transportation Director, Rifki Rismal, quoted from ANTARA, Wednesday, January 21, 2026.

Rifki said that the ASN official who was in trouble had previously been investigated on Thursday, January 5, 2026.

From this case, the South Jakarta Traffic Engineering Office (Sudin) has conducted an examination and made a case of examination event (BAP).

However, the follow-up process is now handled by the authorized agency because it is related to the ASN staffing issue.

"It is being processed at the Office because of staffing. It is still at the Office. We at the sub-district office only do BAP and then report to the Office," he said.

The South Jakarta Traffic Service confirmed that there was no official permit for tree felling in Kebayoran Lama regarding the alleged involvement of ASN officials in illegal logging.

It is said that at that time the individual asked the South Jakarta Regional Office of the South Jakarta Regional Office to stop when passing and asked to please do the logging. However, illegal logging was actually carried out based on the order of the individual.

As previously reported, the South Jakarta City Forestry and Parks Office (Tamhut) is ready to report alleged illegal logging on Jalan Sultan Iskandar Muda, specifically in front of the Xpeng car showroom, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta.

The logging was carried out without permission from the relevant service, after it was confirmed through licensing checks, both to the Tamhut Service and to the Head of the Local Implementation Unit (Kasatpel) and the result was that the logging did not have official permission.
