Today Gibran Visits Tasikmalaya, Checks the Market to Visit the Boarding School

JAKARTA - Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka is scheduled to make a working visit to Tasikmalaya, West Java, on Tuesday, January 20. The Vice President's entourage departed from the Halim Perdanakusuma Ops Base to the Wiriadinata Air Force Base at 07.45 WIB.

During his visit, Gibran started the agenda by reviewing the Cikurubuk Market in Mangkubumi District, Tasikmalaya City. The market is the largest traditional trading center in Tasikmalaya and the surrounding area. This visit was carried out to see firsthand the trading activities and conditions of the people's market.

Furthermore, the Vice President continued the agenda by visiting the Dr. Soekardjo Hospital, the main referral hospital in the East Priangan region. At the location, Gibran reviewed the readiness of health services and supporting facilities available for the community.

In the education sector, the Vice President is scheduled to visit SMA Negeri 2 Tasikmalaya. On this occasion, he will give motivation to students to continue to achieve, adapt to the development of time, and have the ability in the field of science and technology as a preparation for the future.

The main agenda of this working visit is to visit the Cipasung Islamic Boarding School. In addition to visiting the residence of KH Deni Ramdani Sagara, Gibran will also witness the presentation of students who showcase works and innovations in the field of artificial intelligence and robotics.

The Vice President's working visit to Tasikmalaya confirms the government's commitment to encourage development that starts from strengthening basic sectors, ranging from people's markets, health services, education, to pesantren which prioritize innovation without abandoning traditional values.
