Kelapa Gading Still Surrounded by Flooding until the Flow of Traffic is Slow, Police Chief: We Deploy Personnel at the Location

JAKARTA - A number of roads in 3 villages in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, were suddenly paralyzed due to being flooded on Sunday morning, January 18.

Kelapa Gading Police Chief, Kompol Seto Handoko Putra, said that the results of monitoring at the location of the Kelapa Gading flooded area recorded 3 villages that were flooded since Sunday morning at 06.00 WIB.

In the West Kelapa Gading Village, the Kelapa Gading Police recorded 11 streets that were flooded, namely on Yos Sudarso Street, specifically at the Kodamar bus stop, there was a puddle of five centimeters.

The flood also submerged a number of points on Jalan Boulevard Barat, namely:

- Gading batavia/shope drive (15-20 cm)

- In front of BNI bank / holland bakery (30-35 cm)

- Danamin (5 cm)

- Emerald tower/Honda (10-15 cm)

- Ace/yosinoya/nissan (10-15 cm)

- Hypermart (10-15 cm)

- Rupom MOI, (10-15 cm)

- In front of BCA bank (25-30 cm)

- In front of the BRI bank (05-10 cm)

-MAY BANK (15 cm)

For Jalan GBI, the flood also submerged a number of different points, namely:

- Side lottemart (25-35 cm)

- Paladian park (05-10 cm)

- MITRA Hospital (30cm)

- In front of Ruko GBI (05-10 cm)

"Jalan Nias Raya, specifically at The Kew, is 05-10 cm high, Santika Hotel is 10 cm high, and Tiberias Church is 10 cm high," said Kompol Seto I confirmed, Sunday, January 18, afternoon.

Then Jalan BGR, specifically in front of the urban hotel, was flooded with a height of 15 cm. Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan was flooded with a height of 30 cm.

North Boulevard Road, specifically in front of Bank BNI, was flooded with a height of 10 cm. Hibrida Road, specifically in front of Penabur School, was flooded with a height of 30 cm and Mitra Gading Villa with a height of 20 cm.

The TNI AL Kodamar complex was also flooded. Then in RW 13 Boulevard Utara the flood was 25 cm high. RT 01 and 02 in RW 22 were also flooded with a height of 15 cm.

In the East Kelapa Gading Village, flood waters inundated the entire East Boulevard Road with a water height of 30 cm so that it could not be passed by two-wheeled vehicles.

The flood also submerged Jalan Raya Boulevard, specifically in front of the Kelapa Gading Mall, Kelapa Gading Timur Village with a water height of 30 cm.

Then Jalan Raya Gading Indah towards the Kelapa Gading Police Station was also flooded with a height of 20 cm.

Furthermore, flooding hit Pegangsaan Dua Village, namely on Jalan Hibrida Raya flooded with a height of 40 cm, TL Pintu 3 Kelapa Hibrida with a height of 40 cm, Jalan Raya Pegangsaan Dua with a height of 30 cm, RW 14 Jalan Kelapa Nias 1V with a height of 30 cm.

Then Gg. Masjid RW 03, Kampung Rawa Indah there are 7 RT that were flooded with a height of 50-60 cm.

Jalan Boulevard Timur Pegangsaan Dua was also flooded with a height of 35 cm.

"No residents have been displaced due to flooding in 3 villages. We have deployed personnel from the Kelapa Gading Police to carry out evacuation and services for the community in the field," said the Police Chief.
