Pramono Emphasizes the Budget to Dismantle the Monorail Pole in Rasuna Said is Only Rp254 Million

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung explained that the allocation of Rp100 billion in the implementation of the demolition of the broken monorail pole on Jalan Rasuna Said was not only spent specifically for demolition.

In total, the DKI Provincial Government has budgeted Rp. 100 billion, but the funds were allocated for the road and sidewalk arrangement program in the Kuningan area to improve the safety, comfort, and aesthetics of the business and diplomatic area.

Meanwhile, the budget for dismantling 98 poles along Jalan Rasuna Said, admitted Pramono, was only IDR 254 million.

"So the first budget to dismantle is Rp. 254 million. The Rp. 100 billion is the budget to manage pedestrians, roads, and parks for a full year," said Pramono at Grand Indonesia, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, January 13.

Regarding the status of the monorail pole assets known to belong to PT Adhi Karya, Pramono said the DKI Provincial Government had sent a notification letter a long time ago. The government, he said, ensured that the demolition process continued as planned.

"We have been trying to do this for a long time and it's over, we will just dismantle it tomorrow. Please pray that it goes smoothly," said Pramono.

Separately, the Assistant for Development and Environment of the DKI Jakarta Regional Secretary (Sekda), Afan Adriansyah, believes that the DKI Provincial Government will not violate the law from the execution.

Because, the DKI Provincial Government has previously coordinated with PT Adhi Karya as the owner of the monorail project pole assets to carry out demolition. In addition, this planning also received assistance from the High Prosecutor's Office and consultation with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

Moreover, continued Afan, the abandoned monorail pole assets that will be dismantled will also be returned by the DKI Provincial Government to Adhi Karya.

"The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also respects the rights of PT Adhi Karya. Therefore, even though the demolition was carried out by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, the assets belonging to PT Adhi Karya will be stored in a safe place," said Afan in his statement.

In addition, Afan revealed that in Presidential Regulation Number 55 of 2018 concerning the Jabodetabek Transportation Master Plan and Regional Regulation Number 7 of 2024 concerning the Spatial Planning Plan for the 2024-2044 period, there is no plan to develop a monorail.

Then, the cooperation agreement between the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and PT Jakarta Monorail officially ended since September 21, 2011. As it should be, the project will not be continued again.

"According to the provisions, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is the owner of the land where the 122 monorail poles are located. Based on the court's decision, these poles belong to PT Adhi Karya and technically cannot be used as monorail poles," said Afan.
