122 Kg of Aceh Origin Opium Was Smuggled with the Modus of Stacking Jengkol

South Lampung Police thwarted an attempt to smuggle 122.515 kilograms of methamphetamine from Aceh at the Bakauheni Port, South Lampung.

Lampung Police Chief Inspector General Helfi Assegaf said that from the results of the disclosure of hundreds of kilograms of drugs, his party managed to secure three suspected perpetrators with initials WS (30), R (44), and S (43) who are residents of Aceh.

"Members of the South Lampung Police Narcotics Investigation Unit have arrested and confiscated 122.515 kg of methamphetamine at the Bakauheni Port Interdiction Seaport on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at around 21.00 WIB," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, January 12.

In the disclosure of the narcotics case, he said the perpetrators were known to use a modus operandi in the form of hiding in the pile of jackfruit cargo to deceive officers.

"Hundreds of kilograms of methamphetamine were transported using a truck with the modus operandi of being hidden in a pile of jackfruit cargo from Aceh to Kramat Jati Market, Jakarta," he said.

According to him, the economic value of the illegal goods that were successfully confiscated, his party estimated that it reached hundreds of billions of rupiah.

"Which, if assumed with an economic value of Rp1,000,000 per gram, then from 122.515 kilograms of methamphetamine is Rp122 billion," he said.
