JAKARTA - Two corruption suspects of embezzling educational operational assistance funds (BOP) at SMKN 53 Jakarta have been dishonorably dismissed from DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.
"Threatened with severe sanctions, dishonorable dismissal," said Public Relations of DKI Education Agency Taga Radja Gah when contacted, Saturday, May 29.
The decision to give the most severe sanctions for DKI ASN is carried out in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) Number 53 of 2010 concerning Civil Servant Discipline.
Taga said that at this time the information about the dishonorable dismissal was only done verbally. However, the former Principal of SMKN 53 and staff of the West Jakarta Education Sub-dept. who are caught in the BOP corruption will surely be fired.
"This is still in the verbal process of giving the sentence because it is a crime. Both have been released, to facilitate the examination because both are under the supervision of the District Attorney," said Taga.
Previously reported, the West Jakarta District Attorney (Kejari) raided the West Jakarta Education Sub-Department (Sudin) office and the office of the Principal of SMKN 53. These raids were related to the BOP Fund corruption case for the 2018-2019 fiscal year.
In this case, the Kejari identified two suspects, namely the principal of SMKN 53 Cengkareng with the initials W and staff of the West Jakarta Education Sub-dept. 1. Initials MF.
The two are suspected of working together to embezzle the 2018 BOP funds whose total budget reached Rp7.8 billion.
The mode is, W gives MF a password code to be able to access the BOP fund application. In fact, the password for the BOP application could only be held by W as the principal at that time.
