BADUNG - The Badung Regency Government, Bali, has ensured that the plan to open four new access roads to overcome the current congestion has begun to run.

"Currently, land has been released and there are several that have been completed for land release," said Badung Regent I Wayan Adi Arnawa in Mangupura, Badung Regency, Friday.

He said that after the land acquisition process was completed, the next step was to start the process of opening access roads such as the tender stage for physical development which was targeted to be completed immediately by the end of 2026.

According to Regent Adi Arnawa, the Badung Regency Government is trying to accelerate the construction of the four new roads with a scheme of borrowing funds to PT. Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (PT. SMI) amounting to Rp. 2.8 trillion.

"With this regional loan fund, hopefully we in Badung can quickly open four new roads to overcome congestion," he said.

He explained that currently four road sections that are in the process of land acquisition include the Pecatu-Melasti Road, the Pecatu Village Market-Uluwatu Highway, the Banjar Semer-Teuku Umar Barat Road and the Subak Sari-Banjar Semer Road.

Specifically for the Subak Sari-Banjar Semer Kerobokan route, the work will be carried out by expanding the road to overcome the congestion that often occurs as it is today.

"So, the route is ready for physical development and hopefully it can be completed soon," said Regent Adi Arnawa.
