Garut Student Abuser with Saw Arrested by Police

Garut - The Garut Police, West Java, arrested a man for torturing a student using a saw until he suffered lacerations.

This anger was caused because the perpetrator was scolded not to pick grass on the victim's land in the Muarasanding area, Garut City District.

"Currently, the perpetrator has been secured at the Garut City Police to undergo further legal proceedings," said Garut City Police Chief AKP Zainuri, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, January 9.

A man with the initials R (32) abused his victim with the initials FF (22) with a saw on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.

The perpetrator was arrested by the police on Thursday (8/1) and immediately underwent legal proceedings.

"The suspected perpetrator was successfully secured on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at around 13.00 WIB by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Garut City Police," he said.

The persecution began when the victim reprimanded the alleged perpetrator who took grass on the victim's land, then a commotion occurred which was finally dispersed by local residents.

However, not long after, the perpetrator came back to the victim with a sharp weapon in the form of a saw and then committed persecution, causing the victim to suffer torn wounds on his right wrist.

"The victim then reported the incident of persecution to the Garut City Police," he said.

From the results of the examination, the perpetrator was found to be a repeat offender of a theft case in 2018.

In this case, the police also seized evidence in the form of a saw with a length of about 60 centimeters which he used to abuse the victim.
