Public Relations Manager of PT KAI Daop 7 Madiun Tohari said the repair was carried out immediately after officers found a missing rail anchor bolt. All stolen bolts have been replaced and equipped again to ensure the safety and security of train travel is maintained.

The theft was known to have occurred at KM 127+358 of the Blitar-Rejotangan road section. Following up on the findings, KAI Daop 7 Madiun immediately deployed officers to the location to secure the track, conduct a thorough inspection, and replace and re-equip the missing anchor bolts. From the initial inventory, officers found a loss of 13 rail fastening bolts. However, based on the development of the police investigation, the perpetrator who has been arrested admitted to committing theft in at least five different points with a total loss of 108 rail fastening bolts.
