MEDAN - The BUMN Ministry will hold a mass vaccination in Medan City, North Sumatra. The plan is that the mass vaccination will last for 2 months with a target of 5 thousand people per day.

That was the discussion in the coordination meeting of the Mayor of Medan, Bobby Nasution, with the Special Staff of the Minister of BUMN, Arya Sinulingga, and the Governor of North Sumatra, Edy Rahmayadi, at the Governor's official residence, Friday, May 28.

This meeting was held to discuss the preparations that will be carried out so that the implementation of the mass vaccination will run smoothly.

Quoted from the statement of the Public Relations of Pemko Medan, Bobby Nasution greatly appreciated and fully supported the holding of the mass vaccination. Moreover, Medan City was chosen as the place for the mass vaccination. This is because giving vaccines is one of the most effective efforts to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic, which is still ongoing today.

With the mass vaccinations that will be carried out later, Mayor Bobby Nasution hopes to reduce the number of the spread of Covid-19 in the City. Furthermore, Mayor Bobby Nasution and the staff of the Minister of BUMN will find the right place to carry out the mass vaccination.

Meanwhile, the staff of the Minister of BUMN, Arya Sinulingga, explained that the Ministry of BUMN had carried out mass vaccinations in several places on the island of Java, the last being held in East Java.

Furthermore, the Ministry of BUMN will carry out mass vaccination outside Java and choose Medan City and several other places as the next location.

Arya Sinulingga hopes that this mass vaccination can help accelerate the vaccination program in North Sumatra, especially Medan City. Arya emphasized that the mass vaccination that will be carried out will be prioritized for the elderly and public servants.

Arya explained that vaccination will be carried out in the near future. Currently, explained Arya, they are looking for the best location and can accommodate more residents. The location, added Arya, is not only in Medan City but also around Medan City.
