"The construction of the Sepaku Market is very special because it is carried out in the midst of community activities and life. We hope that the presence of this market will really benefit the local community along with the development of IKN," said Gibran in a statement reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 31.

The Vice President explained that to rearrange the Sepaku Market, the process leading to the contract for the work took a little longer.

This is to ensure that development is carried out with a humanistic approach, respecting the living space of residents, and still maintaining the sustainability of the activities of traders.

The arrangement of the Sepaku Market, also known as the Rebo Sukaraja Market, is part of the Sepaku Area Arrangement work package.

The arrangement includes the construction of two market buildings, market area arrangement, and Sepaku corridor arrangement along 1.5 kilometers. This project is implemented through a participatory approach after going through the process of breaking the residents.

The Commitment Maker (PPK) for the Sepaku Market Relocation Railway Development, Roni Rosaji, explained that this market will be thoroughly arranged, including the repair of the building facade with synthetic rattan material, signage arrangement, and the development of the pedestrian area.

Roni explained that Sepaku Market has 135 stalls and kiosks, consisting of wet and dry stalls, and is equipped with supporting facilities such as management rooms, health rooms, meeting rooms, TPS, and parking areas.

In addition to reviewing the Sepaku Market, the Vice President also reviewed the market at KIPP IKN which is expected to be a driver of local economic activity, provide a decent business space for MSMEs, and meet the daily needs of the community at KIPP IKN.

The KIPP market is built on an area of 3,774 square meters with a building area of 3,959 square meters, consisting of three floors.

This market is equipped with 22 units of wet los, 33 units of dry los, 11 kiosks, 6 units of pujasera, as well as a management room and meeting room.

The KIPP market is designed to serve around 200 visitors per day, with separate wet los arrangements between the clean area and the processing area, so that hygiene and visitor circulation are maintained.

During the review, the Vice President saw the arrangement of the wet los zone which was divided functionally, ranging from the cleaning area to the sales area, to ensure that market hygiene standards were met.

This arrangement is part of an effort to present a healthy, comfortable, and safe public market for traders and visitors.
