JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Agriculture (Wamentan) Sudaryono, emphasized the importance of the spirit of mutual cooperation in facing natural disasters that have hit a number of regions in Indonesia.

This was conveyed by Sudaryono, who is also the General Chairman of the Indonesian Farmers' Unity Association (HKTI) during the distribution of humanitarian assistance for disaster victims in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra, in the area of the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan), Ragunan, South Jakarta, Wednesday morning, December 31, 2025.

According to him, the assistance provided by HKTI is a small part of a large effort carried out together by the government, TNI-Polri, BNPB, community organizations, and individuals.

"Disaster is not only a matter of the state. This is a test for the spirit of mutual cooperation of the Indonesian nation," he said.

In addition to focusing on emergency assistance, HKTI also expressed its commitment to actively engage in post-disaster agricultural land rehabilitation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, regional agricultural services, and other relevant parties.

"The Ministry of Agriculture, the Agriculture Service, and all those involved in agricultural affairs, we want HKTI later, yes, later will also be involved in the rehabilitation of agricultural land after disasters. That's the first point," he said.

Sudaryono also invited all elements of society not to blame or ridicule the condition of disaster victims, but to support and appreciate the work of all parties involved in the field.

"In a difficult situation like this, the Indonesian people are tested for their concern. Alhamdulillah, we still see that mutual aid is alive," he said.

HKTI also continues to monitor the development of disasters in other regions, such as floods in Kalimantan and volcanic activity, as a form of sensitivity and solidarity towards the conditions of people in various regions.

"We want HKTI to be really sensitive in this period, we are sensitive to the situation faced by the Indonesian people in other parts of the region," he said.

Previously, the Indonesian Farmers Harmony Association (HKTI) again distributed humanitarian assistance for victims of natural disasters in the Sumatra region. The assistance worth Rp. 2.4 billion was symbolically released this morning by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture (Wamentan) and also the General Chairman of the HKTI DPN Sudaryono.
