JAKARTA - Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives Atalia Praratya attended a hearing on the agenda for reporting the results of mediation and the next stage of examination related to the lawsuit for divorce against former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil at the Bandung Religious Court, Wednesday, December 31.
Atalia arrived at the Bandung Religious Court at around 09.40 WIB with her legal team. She looked smiling wearing a cream-colored shirt paired with a black long skirt.
"Just pray. There are many series, please pray," Atalia briefly told reporters before entering the courtroom.
Atalia Praratya's lawyer, Debi Agusfriansa, said his client would attend all the scheduled court sessions, including presenting witnesses.
"Today the agenda is to report the results of the mediation, then the reading of the lawsuit, the answer, the possibility of replications and duplications, presenting two witnesses, and finally the conclusion," said Debi.
He explained that the Bandung Religious Court and both parties agreed to expedite the trial process after the results of the mediation between Atalia Praratya and Ridwan Kamil were declared complete.
"Usually, it takes one month if the mediation drags on. However, the results of the mediation came out on Friday, December 17, and both parties agreed. Therefore, today was immediately scheduled," he said.
Debi also emphasized that the divorce lawsuit filed by his client was not related to other parties whose names were circulating in the public sphere.
"Names that are circulating such as AK, LM, or SM have never been in the contents of the lawsuit. We are surprised by the various speculations that have emerged. In fact, our client and the defendant have been separated for six months," said Debi.
