Before Killing ULM Student, Bripda MS Allegedly Had Sex with a Woman with a Prospective Wife

Banjarbaru - South Kalimantan (Kalsel) Police member, Bripda Muhammad Seili (MS), who is a suspect in the alleged murder of a student of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) with the initials ZD (20), was handcuffed by three women before killing the victim.

This was revealed during the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) hearing against Bripda MS held by the Professional and Security Division (Bid Propam) of the South Kalimantan Police at the Banjarbaru Police, yesterday.

In front of the Chairman of the KKEP Commission AKBP Budi Susanto, Deputy Chairman Kompol Letjon Simanjorang, and Commission Member Kompol Anna Setiani, Bripda MS admitted that before killing the victim, he had a fight with his future wife (DE).

"One night before the murder, I fought with my future wife," said Bripda MS in the KKEP Session, quoted by Antara.

The fight, he said, was because the prospective wife interrogated Bripda MS for sleeping with another woman with the initials NO (Bripda MS's friend).

"The victim apparently told my future wife that I had slept with NO. The beginning of the problem here, I asked the victim to straighten it out with my future wife," said Bripda MS.

Bripda MS admitted that he had been arguing with his future wife since August 2025 regarding the allegation of having slept with NO.

It had subsided, but the future wife again questioned and asked Bripda MS even though the wedding date was approaching.

Because he was entangled in the allegations of his relationship with NO, Bripda MS and the victim arranged a meeting to straighten it out to the prospective wife.

However, when he was with the victim and was on the way to the house of the future wife, Bripda MS canceled his intention to clarify to the future wife after Bripda MS and the victim had pulled over to have sex in the car.

"The victim threatened to report to my future wife because we had just had sex, finally I intended to take the victim home to Banjar Regency, but the victim kept insisting on wanting to report to my future wife," said Bripda MS in the KKEP Session.

In various statements at the ethics hearing, Bripda MS mentioned three women, the first of which was a prospective wife (DE), a friend (NO), and a victim (ZD) who was also a friend of his prospective wife.

Bripda MS admitted that the victim was vengeful because the victim felt hurt that he had broken up with his girlfriend caused by Bripda MS.

"The victim told me that I had introduced a new woman to his ex-girlfriend so that they broke up, I didn't feel it," said Bripda MS.

Because the victim felt vengeful, Bripda MS admitted that the victim deliberately provoked his temper so that they had sex in the car, which would then be reported by the victim to Bripda MS's future wife.

In short, finally Bripda MS strangled the victim while in the car because he was panicked and felt threatened that the victim wanted to report to the future wife that they had had sex.

Not accepting being accused of having slept with NO, not wanting to be caught having sex with the victim (ZD), and not wanting the marriage with the future wife (DE) to be canceled, became a chain reaction that blinded Bripda MS's eyes to the point of killing the victim's life (ZD) in the car.

After being a suspect, Bripda MS attended the ethics hearing for the profession. In the code of ethics hearing, the Chairman of the KKEP Trial Assembly AKBP Budi Susanto decided and determined, imposing sanctions in the form of ethical sanctions, namely the offender was declared to be a reprehensible act.

Then the sanctions are administrative in the form of dismissal without honor (PTDH) or dismissal from the police service.

The murder took place in Gambut District, Banjar Regency, on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at around 01.30 Wita.

The sanitation officer found ZD's body in the sewer of the STIHSA Banjarmasin Campus on the same day at around 07.30 Wita, then the victim was taken to Ulin Hospital, Banjarmasin, for an autopsy.

After going through the investigation process and examining witnesses, the escape process of suspect Bripda MS stopped after the police managed to arrest the suspect in Banjarbaru City, in the evening.
