In addition to Puncak, Bogor Holds New Year's Eve Car Free Night 2026 in Cibinong

Bogor - The Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab) together with the Bogor Police have prepared a Car Free Night (CFN) during the New Year's Eve 2026 which will be held in the Tegar Beriman Cibinong area.

Head of the Bogor Bayu Transportation Office, Bayu Ramawanto, said the traffic arrangement scheme for the CFN on Jalan Tegar Beriman had been agreed upon in a measured manner with all stakeholders.

According to Bayu, the slow lane along Jalan Tegar Beriman will be completely sterilized from parking vehicles, both cars and motorcycles, to ensure the smooth flow of traffic during the event.

"Parking is not prepared on the road. Vehicles will be directed to the technical services and agencies around Jalan Tegar Beriman so as not to interfere with traffic movement," said Bayu in Cibinong, Monday, quoted by Antara.

He explained that traders' activities would be concentrated at points that had been determined and separated by a water barrier, and directed to areas that were integrated with urban forest development.

Bogor Regency's Dishub also ensures that road closures are carried out in total at certain points, including sterilization of Tegar Beriman Square from all parking activities, including government vehicles that are asked to park in the internal area.

Regarding the duration of the activity, Bayu said that the implementation of Car Free Night was agreed to last for about two to three hours so that the activity would remain orderly and not cause excessive congestion.

"This duration is important so that activities run safely and still pay attention to the stamina of officers in the field," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Traffic Police at the Bogor Police, AKP R. Rizky Guntama Ganda Permana, said the CFN policy and traffic engineering were the result of a joint agreement with the Bogor Regent to provide a celebration space for the community while still prioritizing aspects of security and order.

"The Regent of Bogor wants the community to be able to celebrate New Year's Eve, but with orderly arrangements. One of them is through Car Free Night in Tegar Beriman and the centralization of activities in Pakansari," said AKP Rizky.

He explained that the closure of roads in the Tegar Beriman area would be limited and selective, starting from the Court Junction to the next round of Pendang, in order to prevent the accumulation of vehicle traffic at vulnerable points such as Cikaret.

Vehicle traffic from Depok to Bogor will be engineered so that it does not enter the Tegar Beriman area and is directed to turn around at the designated points.

In the Pakansari Stadium area, all traffic engineering will implement a One-Way System (SSA) with vehicle parking concentrated within the stadium area and supporting parking lots.

"We will carry out early discipline, including the installation of cones and boundary ropes before the day of H. Parking must be neat and parallel because parking three layers will immediately interfere with the flow," said AKP Rizky.

He added that the outer lane of the Pakansari Stadium was ensured to be sterile from parking and selling activities, and the New Year's Eve celebration was prohibited from using fireworks according to the direction of the National Police leadership.

In addition to Cibonong, Bogor also holds a regular Car Free Night (CFN) in the Puncak tourist area.
