SITUBONDO - The Indonesian Automatic Fingerprint Identification System (Inafis) Team of the East Java Regional Police (Polda) assisted the Situbondo Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) in investigating and processing the crime scene for the alleged case of three victims of murder in one family.

Head of the Situbondo Police, AKBP Rezi Dharmawan, explained that the East Java Police Inafis Team was deployed to assist in the investigation of the alleged murder of three victims who were still one family (father, mother and child) in Watuketu Village, Demung Village, Besuki District.

"The Inafis team of the East Java Police has more complete facilities and infrastructure, therefore we have asked for assistance and today we have started to work on the crime scene at the scene of the crime," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, December 29.

The Rezi Police Chief conveyed the difficulties in the investigation if they were not assisted by the East Java Police Inafis Team, because in addition to the incomplete equipment, many people had already arrived at the crime scene before the police arrived, thus hindering the investigation.

Regarding the results of the autopsy of the three bodies of the alleged murder victims, he continued, until today it is still not intact and waiting for a complete picture, and for sure, the victim died with injuries to the neck due to sharp weapons.

"We are also still waiting for the results of the medical team's examination whether there are substances or materials consumed by these three victims, we are still waiting for the results of the examination from the RSUD dr. Abdoer Rahem Situbondo," said AKBP REZI Dharmawan.

The police have also asked for information from more than five people and have not ruled out the possibility that there are still new witnesses who will be asked for information to reveal the death of the three people, consisting of the husband, wife and child.

"We also secured a number of evidence, including a knife in the bathroom, five mobile phones, and other objects related to the alleged murder," said the Police Chief.

The three victims of the alleged murder, namely Muhammad Hasim (58) and his wife Suningsih (38) and Umi Rahmania (18) female (child). They were found dead inside their house in Watuketu Village, Demung Village, Besuki District, on Sunday (28/12) morning at around 07.00 WIB.
