Bungo Sisir Police Station SPBU Press Practices for PETI Fuel Diversion

BUNGO - Bungo Police, Jambi Police, combed a number of Public Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU) in Bungo Regency in order to suppress the practice of deviating from Fuel Oil (BBM) for Unauthorized Gold Mining (PETI) activities in the area.

"The patrols, monitoring and enforcement carried out are open and potentially known by the target object," said Bungo Police Chief AKBP Natalena Eko Cahyono in Bungo, Antara, Sunday, December 28.

For this reason, Natalena asked all personnel to continue to carry out their duties professionally, disciplined, and prioritize safety factors in their duties.

During the patrol, a number of gas stations were targeted for surveillance, including Candikia Gas Station, Pall 3 Gas Station, and Pall 9 Gas Station. The aim is to ensure that activities at filling stations are safe from the practice of misuse of subsidized fuel.

This activity is focused on efforts to control illegal gold mining activities that are still potentially occurring in the legal jurisdiction of the Bungo Police. During the patrol, no deviant activities were found at the gas station that was the target of the activity.

The Police Chief explained that after the inspection process of the gas station, patrol and inspection of PETI activities in the Sungai Buluh area, Rimbo Tengah District, the hill intersection area behind the Al-Hikam Mosque.

At the location, officers found as many as 20 rafts of PETI that had been abandoned, submerged without engines and equipment by their owners, making it difficult to destroy.

He continued, monitoring and enforcement are forms of seriousness and commitment of the Bungo Police in eradicating the misuse of subsidized fuel and PETI activities, in order to maintain order, security, and environmental sustainability.

"As a result of patrols and checks at the location, no ongoing PETI activities or vehicles violating the applicable provisions were found," he concluded.
