JAKARTA - Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi confirmed that he would immediately call the owner of the Cahaya Trans bus with vehicle number B 7201 IV which was involved in a traffic accident at the Krapyak Toll exit junction, Semarang, Central Java.

Dudy said he had ordered the Director General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation Aan Suhanan to summon the bus owner.

"Yesterday I asked the Director General of Land (Director General of Land Transportation, Ministry of Transportation Aan Suhanan) to call all operators, owners again to remind them again," said Dudy as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 23.

He said the summons was issued to remind that transportation safety was not only determined by the legality of the vehicle, but also the condition of the driver so as not to work excessively, be exhausted, and remain fit in order to prevent the risk of accidents on the highway.

In addition, the Ministry of Transportation also involved the National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT) to conduct a thorough investigation to identify the causes of the bus accident and formulate recommendations for improving the land transportation safety system in the future.
