Sulsel Governor Meets Pramono to Discuss SPBE to Investment

JAKARTA - South Sulawesi Governor Andi Sudirman Sulaiman met with DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo at the Jakarta City Hall to discuss learning and exchanging practices related to regulations on the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) to investment.

"The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also offers the use of the Smart City concept through the JAKI application that we have to be able to be implemented in South Sulawesi. We are ready to provide assistance, education, training, and share knowledge related to its implementation," said Pramono at the Jakarta City Hall, Friday, December 19, reported by ANTARA.

According to him, this meeting is a concrete step to develop the potential of both regions mutually beneficial, especially in the staffing sector, bureaucratic governance, agriculture, and livestock.

Inter-regional collaboration, said Pramono, is the key to accelerating sustainable development.

Apart from digitization, strengthening food security is an important focus of this cooperation. Pramono assessed that South Sulawesi has great potential as an agricultural area as well as a national fisheries production center.

He also asked related parties, especially the Regional Cooperation Bureau, to follow up on various collaboration opportunities, including the possibility of DKI Jakarta Provincial Government investment in the South Sulawesi agriculture and fisheries sectors.

"We see the potential of South Sulawesi in the fisheries and agriculture sectors is extraordinary. I have asked the ranks to explore these opportunities. If possible, as with cooperation with other regions, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is ready to invest in this sector," he said.

Furthermore, Pramono explained, this food security cooperation is designed for the medium and long term.

Meanwhile, for Christmas and New Year (Nataru) needs, he ensured that Jakarta's food conditions were relatively safe and under control, with projected inflation maintained at around 2.6-2.7 percent and economic growth above 5 percent.

Meanwhile, the Governor of South Sulawesi, Andi Sudirman Sulaiman, appreciated the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and expressed his interest in strengthening cooperation, especially in the field of "Smart City" and the management of BUMD.

He assessed that Jakarta has a "Smart City" management system that has proven to be effective and well integrated. This collaboration opens up opportunities to share systems and experiences, especially in accelerating transportation services and digitizing government.

Andi gave an example of public transportation management in Jakarta which can serve as a reference for the development of Trans Sulsel to be more massive and integrated, considering the vastness of the South Sulawesi region.

"This cooperation includes accelerating the adoption of various systems that have been implemented in Jakarta for us to develop and adapt through a knowledge sharing scheme. Including, the use of the JAKI application and the management of BUMD. We also offer a number of South Sulawesi's flagship products as an agricultural area and a national rice barn," he explained.
