TANJUNG SELOR - The Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) North Kalimantan (Kaltara) together with the PMI districts/cities in Kaltara distributed humanitarian donations for flood victims in Aceh Province, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. The donation drive was carried out from December 2 to 15, 2025.
The Chairman of the Kaltara PMI, Risdianto, said that the floods that hit a number of areas on the island of Sumatra had a significant impact on people's lives, especially in meeting basic needs.
"This donation drive is a follow-up to the direction of the Chairman of the Central PMI that all provincial PMI and district/city PMI in Indonesia participate in helping disaster victims," said Risdianto, Tuesday, December 16.
He revealed that the collected assistance was not only in the form of funds, but also logistics, equipment, human resources, and other humanitarian support.

At the same time, continued Risdianto, the PMI of districts/cities throughout Kaltara also carried out fundraising by involving managers, employees, and PMI volunteers from the elements of the Red Cross Youth (PMR), Volunteer Corps (KSR), and Volunteer Force (TSR), PMI partners, and the general public.
"Fundraising is carried out in public spaces and through the optimization of social media. The public can also channel assistance through the official PMI provincial and PMI district/city accounts," he said.
