KEDIRI - The Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) has named Kediri City, East Java, as "Very Innovative City". The predicate was given at the 2025 Innovative Government Award (IGA) event, December 12.
Kediri Mayor Vinanda Prameswati said that this IGA 2025 award is not the end point, but rather as an impetus to continue to strengthen the regional innovation ecosystem, as well as to improve the quality of public services sustainably.
"This award is not the end, but an encouragement for us to quickly present solutions for the community through relevant and sustainable innovations," he said in a statement in Kediri, quoted by ANTARA on Sunday, December 14.
He said that in the future, the Kediri City Government is committed to expanding the replication of innovation, accelerating digital transformation, and ensuring that every new policy and development program provides real benefits for all city residents.
This, he said, is also in line with the national development agenda and strengthening regional competitiveness.
"Through this very innovative predicate, Kediri City confirms its position as a progressive area and is ready to answer today's development challenges," he said.
