JAKARTA - The Directorate General of Railways of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) has extended free motor transport services until January 5, 2026 to support the smooth mobility of residents, reduce traffic density, and increase safety during the 2025 Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holidays.

"The Directorate General of Railways of the Ministry of Transportation extends the free motor transport service by train until January 5, 2026," said Director of Traffic and Rail Transport of the Directorate General of Railways of the Ministry of Transportation, Arif Anwar, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, December 12.

The decision to extend the period of free motor transport services, he said, was based on the high interest and enthusiasm of the public to participate in the program during the Nataru holiday.

"Alhamdulillah, as of today Friday (12/12) at 20.00 WIB, there are 1,844 motorcycles with 3,052 passengers registered to participate in the Nataru free motorcycle transportation program," said Arif.

With this extension, he continued, the registration period for the program will be open from December 1-29, 2025 and January 1-4, 2026 with a transportation period on December 23-30, 2025 and January 2-5, 2026.

He said that people who are interested in participating in the program can register online through nusantara.kemenhub.go.id or offline by visiting the station that is the registration location.

The stations that are the location of registration are the Jakarta Gudang Station, Tangerang Station, Bekasi Station, Depok Baru Station, Cirebon Prujakan Station, Tegal Station, Pekalongan Station, Semarang Tawang Station, Purwokerto Station, Kebumen Station, Kutoarjo Station, Lempuyangan Station, and Purwosari Station.

He said the free motor transport service Nataruakan was present on two main roads, namely the northern and central roads.

On the north line, he said, the train will stop to serve the public at the Jakarta Gudang Station, Pasar Senen Station (for passengers only), Bekasi Station (for passengers only), Cirebon Station, Prujakan Station, Tegal Station, Pekalongan Station, and Semarang Tawang Station.

Meanwhile, for the Central Line, it serves Jakarta Gudang Station, Pasar Senen Station (for passengers only), Bekasi Station (for passengers only), Cirebon Prujakan Station, Purwokerto Station, Kebumen Station, Kutoarjo Station, Lempuyangan Station, and Purwosari Station.
