Semarang City Government Hands Over 112 School Principals At Kindergarten To Middle School Level

SEMARANG - On Thursday, December 11, 2025, the Semarang City Government held an Inauguration and Submission of the State Principal Assignment Decree. A total of 112 teachers from kindergarten, elementary, and junior high school levels were officially appointed as definitive principals.

This event was attended by the Mayor of Semarang, Agustina Wilujeng who gave direct directions regarding the strategic role of school principals in improving the quality of education in the Semarang area.

Activities begin with the elementary delivery of the legal basis for school principal assignments, ranging from ASN regulations to the mayor's decision on the basis for determining positions.

The inauguration procession was carried out jointly followed by the submission of decrees to all participants.

In his direction, the Mayor emphasized that the position of principal is not just an administrative position but a learning leader who forms the culture of teaching quality schools, and the character of students.

At the same time, the Mayor also expressed hope, namely strengthening integrity, improving data-based governance, optimizing the potential of teachers, creating a safe and child-friendly school environment and adapting digitally in all educational units.

"The principal is expected to be a driving force for innovation and collaboration, both with teachers, parents, and the community," said the mayor.

Through this activity, the Semarang City Government emphasized its commitment to strengthening school leadership and improving the quality of education services in a sustainable manner.
