The Kuta Sector Police, Bali, arrested eight people suspected of molesting a student with the initials YSBA (23) in front of a shophouse on Dewi Sri Street No. 23, Legian, Kuta, Badung Regency.
"Currently, the perpetrators have been detained at the Kuta Police and are undergoing intensive examination," said Kuta Police Chief Kompol Agus Riwayanto Diputra, Wednesday, December 10.

Agus explained that based on the information of the YSBA victim who was sitting with his friend at that time, the group suddenly approached him who claimed to be from one of the regions.
"The perpetrators then carried out persecution using wood and paving blocks. The victim was hit on the back of the head three times using a paving block, as well as parts of the back and hands using wood up to four times," he said.
The victim's friend who was at the location also became a victim of beatings. As a result of the incident, Agus said, the victim suffered abrasions, his left hand was swollen, and his head was bruised.
After receiving the victim's official report, the Criminal Investigation Unit together with the Opsnal Team moved quickly to identify the perpetrators.
Thanks to quick work and coordination in the field, eight perpetrators were arrested and are currently undergoing intensive examination at the Kuta Police.
Meanwhile, seven other people are still being hunted by the police.
