JAKARTA - The Opsnal Team of Lhokseumawe Police Drug Reserse Unit, Aceh, arrested a fisherman for allegedly storing methamphetamine-type drugs weighing half a kilogram.

Lhokseumawe Police Chief AKBP Eko Hartanto through Wakapolres Lhokseumawe Kompol Raja Gunawan said the perpetrators had the initials MD (31), residents of Meunasah me Village, Muara Dua District, Lhokseumawe City.

"Md. perpetrator was arrested in his pond in Meunasah me village. Together with the perpetrators also secured methamphetamine in tea packaging from China weighing 500 grams or half a kilogram," said in Lhokseumawe, reported antara, Tuesday, May 25.

Gunawan said the arrest of MD began when the Lhokseumawe Police Drug Reserse Unit Opsnal Team got a community report that at the farm site there was a fisherman storing large quantities of methamphetamine.

Based on the report, he said, Lhokseumawe Police Team visited the location. After making sure the information is correct officers immediately arrest the md.

"After being secured, officers searched and found evidence in the form of a large package containing methamphetamine and a packet of cigarettes containing eight small packages of methamphetamine," he said.

From the results of the examination, he said, the perpetrator claimed to get the illicit goods from someone with the initials CU. CU is currently on the people search list or DPO and is now in police pursuit.

"The methamphetamine was planned to be resold by the MD perpetrators, but the hunt was arrested by the police. Md actors claim to often sell methamphetamine," he said.
