Pakistani PM To Prabowo: We Are Happy To Send Doctors To Medical Professors To RI

JAKARTA - Pakistani Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif said his party was happy to send doctors, dentists, medical professors, and other related experts to Indonesia.

This was conveyed by Sharif in a joint statement session with President Prabowo Subianto at the official residence of the prime minister (PM House) in Islamabad, Pakistan, Tuesday, December 9.

"Today we also agree that we will be happy to send doctors, dentists, medical professors, and other related experts from Pakistan to Indonesia," Sharif said as quoted by ANTARA.

He said the delivery of doctors to medical professors to Indonesia was part of the collaboration in the development of medical universities and universities in Indonesia.

"(This) is to realize your dream of building a large number of medical colleges and universities there," said Sharif.

He said Pakistan would take this step without delay and full of willingness as a form of support for Indonesia's efforts to expand the development of medical education institutions.

Meanwhile, President Prabowo appreciated the Pakistani government for helping Indonesia to strengthen the health sector, one of which was by sending doctors and other experts.

Pakistan's assistance by sending doctors, professors and experts, said President Prabowo, is very helpful for the health sector in Indonesia.

"We have a huge need for doctors and dentists, and I'm starting a massive education program in this field. So, your help will be very strategic and important for us. We really appreciate it," said the President.

In addition to health cooperation, Prabowo also emphasized the importance of accelerating to strengthen trade between the two countries.

He said he had instructed ministers to accelerate the implementation of cooperation concretely in various fields, such as education, trade, agriculture and science and technology.

"Be sure we want to move as quickly as possible in all these fields, education, trade, agricultural cooperation, as well as science and technology," said the President.
