Spokesperson of task force handling COVID-19 Wiku Adisasmito

JAKARTA - COVID-19 Handling Task Force Spokesman Wiku Adisasmito said the tightening of post-deployment travel conditions was extended to May 31, 2021.

The government made the policy of tightening travel different between Sumatra island and other islands. This is based on agreements between ministries and institutions.

"The domestic travel policy that we can simply implement in accordance with the region and its islands is the establishment of an extension of the addendum of SE Task Force No. 13 of 2021," Wiku said in a Youtube broadcast of the Presidential Secretariat, Tuesday, May 25.

Wiku said that there are differences in the implementation of this policy, especially in Sumatra Island due to the covid condition that is starting to worry.

The condition of cases on the island of Sumatra tends to show a poor trend. As of May 23, 2021, 3 out of 4 provinces with bed availability rates that almost touched the threshold or in the range of 50.01 percent to 69.9 percent.

All come from the island of Sumatra, namely the provinces of North Sumatra, West Sumatra, and Riau.

"Then, based on the data of district / city zoning as of May 23, 8 out of 10 red zone cities are on the island of Sumatra, namely in north Sumatra, Riau, West Sumatra, Jambi, and South Sumatra," he explained.

Meanwhile, data from the Ministry of Transportation says that 67 percent of crossers from Java island have not returned. Reflecting on the latest case data, this threatens the importation of cases to Java Island as the biggest destination for homecoming.

"Therefore, please ask the task force in each region and personnel in the field can enforce this regulation well with high discipline," said Wiku.

Here's an extension of the tightening of conditions on the island of Sumatra and other islands:

1. Sumatra Island

Travel in the sumatra island area, namely in the island or between regions, there is a mandatory examination of the results of RT PCR test or rapid test antigen maximum 1x24 hours or GeNose C19 before departure at the sealing point.

Travel outside sumatra island to Java island through random testing rapid antigen at Bakauheni Port.

2. Bali

Travel on the island of Bali by air mode is required to show negative PCR results with a validity period of 2x24 hours, antigen 1x24 hours, or GeNose on site. Sea and land modes apply PCR or antigen results 2x24 hours, or GeNose on site.

3. Java island and others

Especially for the purposes of Java island and other islands, negative tests for sea and land air actors are valid 3x24 hours, antigen 2x24 hours, and GeNose on site.

Meanwhile, sea crossings and intercity trains apply PCR or antigen results 3x24 hours and GeNose on site.

Then, routine road trip, sea, agglomeration applies PCR results 3x24 hours, antigen 2x24 hours, GeNose on site randomly examined at sealing points.
