JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung revealed that he would revitalize and build 300 child-friendly integrated public spaces (RPTRA) during his tenure. In the past, this RPTRA was built in the era of former DKI Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok).

According to Pramono, it is time for the children's playroom and the interaction between Ahok's residents to be repaired, following the large number of facilities that have grown old and are no longer optimal for residents to use.

"So throughout Jakarta we have announced that there are approximately 300 RPTRAs that hopefully can be collaborated like this," said Pramono in Tebet, South Jakarta, Tuesday, December 9.

Pramono conveyed the plan when inaugurating the RPTRA Rasamala in Menteng Dalam, South Jakarta. Revitalization at this location is an example of a pattern of cooperation that will be implemented by the Provincial Government with various parties who are willing to support the improvement of public spaces.

RPTRA Rasamala was previously built and inaugurated during the Ahok administration. After years of unrenewableness, his condition decreased until it was finally renovated with the support of religious institutions.

"Actually, this RPTRA was inaugurated during Pak Ahok's time, but it's been a long time, finally renovations were carried out," said Pramono.

The renovation is the result of collaboration with the Jesus Christ Foundation of the Holy People of the End Hour. This support allows a number of facilities to be repaired, ranging from children's play areas, community activity rooms, to social service supporting facilities.

According to Pramono, the provincial government does not limit anyone who wants to be involved in improving public facilities. Cooperation can come from foundations, companies, or personal initiatives, as long as it aims to provide benefits to the community.

"This is a form of good coordination cooperation, which is very useful. We see together there is a place to play for children, there is a place for fungi, waste banks, Posyandu, Posjok Baca, and so on. And hopefully this will bring benefits to all of us," he said.

He emphasized that the Provincial Government has opened collaboration spaces for revitalization of RPTRA and other green open spaces. Local governments are said to be ready to cooperate with any party to improve the quality of public spaces.

"Of course we open ourselves up, as I said over and over again, for RPTRA-RPTRA and also green open spaces, if there are foundations, communities, anyone who wants to work together to make improvements, we are happy to do that," Pramono explained.

Pramono said that this pattern of cross-group and cross-sectoral cooperation is proof that Jakarta is increasingly open to various initiatives to improve public facilities. "Hopefully this will make comfort, security for the people in this place," Pramono concluded.
