JAKARTA - The Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, said that the decision to apply for the Sumber Waras Hospital as a National Strategic Project (PSN) was just waiting for President Prabowo Subianto's approval.

"The Ministry of Health has approved and the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs has approved and submitted it to the President," Pramono said at Jakarta City Hall, Friday, December 5, as reported by ANTARA.

According to him, if everything goes smoothly, in the near future DKI Jakarta will have an international standard hospital that can be managed alone or cooperate with the Central Government can be realized.

"Why do we do this? Indeed, Jakarta already has 31 hospitals. But that's not enough. The problem with the Sumber Waras Hospital, which has been around for more than 10 years, Alhamdulillah, we can solve it," he said.

The Sumber Waras Hospital will be focused as an international standard type A hospital that can be a national reference for severe diseases such as heart and cancer.

Previously, Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin said that DKI Jakarta's plan to build an international standard hospital on the Sumber Waras Hospital was in line with President Prabowo Subianto's direction, so that his party fully supports the PSN.

The Minister of Health has also met with the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, to discuss the construction of international hospitals to reduce the number of patients traveling abroad for treatment.
