TNI Guards Post-Disaster Recovery Of Aceh: Especially In Takengon And Pidie Jaya

Deputy TNI Commander General Tandyo Budi Revita ensured that post-disaster flood management in the Sumatra region was carried out optimally.

Tandyo confirmed this when he reviewed the post-flood handling process carried out by the TNI in the Takengon area, Central Aceh Regency and Pidie Jaya Regency, Aceh Province, Thursday, December 4.

Head of the Public Information Division of Puspen TNI Marine Colonel (P) Agung Saptoadi said the Deputy Commander of the TNI examined several facilities from evacuation posts, field kitchens to other equipment that supported the evacuation process.

"After that, he continued to check the flow of services for the refugees, including the provision of urgent needs such as ready-to-eat food, clean water, and daily equipment," Agung said when confirmed, Friday, by Antara.

Agung continued that the Deputy Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces also had time to directly review the ongoing evacuation process at the location.

From the results of the review, the Deputy Commander of the TNI assessed that his soldiers and officers from related agencies had made maximum efforts.

"All activities take place with full support from TNI personnel who are engaged with local governments, related agencies, and volunteers so that services for residents can run quickly and coordinate," said Agung.

Agung ensured that TNI soldiers at the disaster site would strengthen coordination with all elements in order to maximize the post-disaster recovery process, starting from logistics distribution, evacuation to providing health facilities for the victims.

"The TNI is committed to continuing to oversee the disaster management process to conditions in Aceh, especially in the Takengon and Pidie Jaya areas, recovering and people can carry out normal activities as usual," said Agung.
