JAKARTA - The Director General of Corrections, Mashudi, directly reviewed the UPT of Corrections that experienced flooding. There are several prisons in North Sumatra that were affected by flooding. We continue to monitor the situation, especially prisons for detention centers and LPKA affected by floods, and optimally may facilitate the damage caused by them. We also ensure that services and care for inmates, children and prisoners continue to run well, "explained Mashudi, while reviewing the floods at the North Sumatra Langkat Youth Prison, Thursday (4/12)

Rutan Tanjung Pura dan Lapas Pemuda Langkat menjadi tempat pertama yang diserjungi dirjenpas Mashudi. Banjir sekitar 1 meter atau setinggi kelakut dewasa dewasa masih mengenangi lingkungan lapas dan rutan. Warga binaan yang kamar huniannya tergenang banjir kami pindahkan ke lokasi yang lebih aman. Kami pastikan pemberian makanan, kesehatan dan hak lainnya tetap berjalan baik baik

He further explained that apart from North Sumatra, UPT Penitentiarys experiencing flooding also occurred, including in Aceh and West Sumatra.

All ranks in Immigration and Corrections (IMIPAS) have also made donations to help flood-affected conditions at UPT IMIPAS North Sumatra, Aceh, and West Sumatra.

"We ask for prayers from the community so that the flood can recede immediately, as well as the condition of prisons, detention centers, LPKA and Fathers affected by the flood can always be conducive, service and maintenance are running well, and security," concluded Mashudi.

Participating in the review were the Head of the North Sumatra Ditejenpas Regional Office, the Director of Health and Maintenance, the Director of Strategy, the Director of Internal Compliance and the other team of the Directorate General of Pemasayarakatan.
