JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo officially appointed Lt. Gen. Ganip Warsito as head of the Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) replacing the retired Doni Monardo.

Ganip was born in Magelang on November 23, 1963. He graduated from the military academy in 1986 and his last position was Chief of The General Staff of the TNI (Kasum TNI) since February 1, 2021.
