KPK Says It Has Evidence Ridwan Kamil Buys Assets Not Using Personal Money

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) stated that it has evidence showing that former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil bought a number of assets not using personal money.

"So, go ahead, that's an explanation from the person concerned, but of course investigators also have other evidence," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo at the KPK's Red and White Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, December 2 night.

Budi explained that the KPK in investigating cases of alleged corruption in advertising procurement projects at the West Java and Banten Regional Development Banks or Bank BJB for the period 2021-2023, did not only refer to the information provided by Ridwan Kamil when he was a witness.

"However, of course, investigators are also exploring and analyzing other evidence, both statements from other witnesses and evidence from documents and electronic evidence that have been secured in a series of investigations into this case," he said.

In the case of alleged corruption of Bank BJB, KPK investigators named five suspects on March 13, 2025, namely Bank BJB President Director Yuddy Renaldi (YR) and Commitment Making Officer (PPK) as well as Head of the Corporate Secretary Division of Bank BJB Widi Hartoto (WH).

In addition, Agency Controller Antedja Muliatama and Cakrawala Kreasi Mandiri Ikin Asikin Dulmanan (IAD), Agency Controller of BSC Advertising and Wahana Semesta Bandung Express Suhendrik (SUH), and Controlling the Successful Cipta Karya Agency with Sophan Jaya Kusuma (SJK).

KPK investigators estimate that the state losses in the alleged corruption case at Bank BJB are around Rp22 billion.

On March 10, 2025, the KPK searched Ridwan Kamil's house regarding the investigation into the alleged corruption case at Bank BJB and also confiscated motorbikes and cars from the search.

On December 2, 2025, Ridwan Kamil fulfilled the KPK's summons as a witness to the case.

He then admitted that he did not know the points from the Bank BJB case, gave money to celebrity Lisa Mariana Presley Zulkandar because she was blackmailed, to buy a motorbike to a Mercedes-Benz 280 SL in the name of the 3rd President of the Republic of Indonesia B. J. Habibie who was confiscated by the KPK with personal money or not related to the Bank BJB case.
