Dilanda Polemik, PBNU Rotasi Pejabat Untuk Transformasi Organisasi

JAKARTA - General Chairperson of the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board Yahya Cholil Staquf or Gus Yahya rotated five officials as one of the steps to transform the organization that is experiencing the polemic of internal leadership.

"This rotation as regulated in the rules of the association as the second highest deliberation forum after the congress, we all mean this so that the tasks that must be accounted for by PBNU can still be carried out properly," said Yahya Cholil Staquf after the tanfidziyah meeting held at the PBNU Head Office, Jakarta, on Friday, confiscated by Antara.

The five officials who were rotated were KH. Masyhuri Malik from his original position as Chairman of PBNU to the position of Deputy General Chair, Saifullah Yusuf from his original position as Secretary General of PBNU to the position of Chairman of PBNU, and H. Gudfan Arif from his original position as General Treasurer to the position of Chairman of PBNU.

Then H. Amin Said Husni from his original position as Deputy General Chair to the positions of Secretary General of PBNU, and H. Sumantri from his original position as Treasurer to the position of General Treasurer.

In addition to the rotation of officials, the meeting also discussed the design of the 2025-2050 Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) roadmap or roadmap as well as evaluation of performance and programs.

Gus Yahya emphasized that the recent turbulence or polemic of PBNU should not be a barrier for organizations to continue to carry out religious tasks and serve the community.

"Because these tasks are the main mandate that must be accounted for, not only to the congress, but also to organizational constituents. But, for us this is also a religious responsibility, a divine responsibility that we must account for in front of millions of people," he said.

Gus Yahya also added that the transformation in NU is also to improve and improve the solemn level in order to be able to overcome future challenges.

"The vision is based on insight into future year's civilization. We know that there are so many and accelerated changes, as well as regarding fundamental aspects in people's lives," said Gus Yahya.
