Attending The Peak Of Teacher's Day Commemoration At The Indonesia Arena, Prabowo Salami, An Educator

JAKARTA - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto attended the 2025 National Teacher's Day Commemoration Peak (HGN) at the Jakarta Arena Indonesia Arena, Friday, together with hundreds of teachers throughout Indonesia as proof of the government's appreciation of national education.

President Prabowo arrived at the location of the event at around 15.10 WIB, and was immediately greeted with great fanfare by the teachers.

The head of state who wore his signature beige safari shirt, as well as a black cap, shook the teachers who sat in the front row.

A number of Ministers of the Red and White Cabinet welcomed the President at the venue, namely Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno, Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadive, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian and Minister of Basic and Secondary Education Abdul Mu'ti.

Then, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of PANRB Rini Widyantini, Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Arifatul Choiri Fauzi, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and TNI Commander General Agus Subianto.

The event then continued by singing the national anthem of Indonesia Raya, prayer, and singing music before a speech from the Minister of Education and Culture Abdul Mu'ti.

On the previous occasion, Mu'ti explained that the presence of the President at the 2025 HGN Commemoration was a form of attention to education, through improving the quality of teachers and education personnel.

Mu'ti emphasized that teachers have a very important role in determining the nation's future. He invited all parties to imagine the big impact if Indonesia was without a teacher's presence.

"I can't imagine what if Indonesia didn't have a teacher. We can't imagine what it would be like when the teachers broke down without teaching," said Mu'ti in a statement in Jakarta, Friday.

On that occasion, Mu'ti appreciated the dedication of teachers who serve to remote areas of the country with various field limitations. He admitted that currently the teaching profession is starting to be less attractive to the younger generation.
