JAKARTA - The Johor State Government in Malayisa has activated the highest alert status for natural disasters following the flood risk warning issued for the Segamat, Tangkak, and Muar districts.

This warning was issued after continuous heavy rains were reported by the National Flood Forecast and Warning Center and the Meteorological Department since yesterday.

Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi mengidentifikasi wilayah di dekat daerah aliran sungai dan bantai rendah sebagai wilayah berisiko tinggi jika hujan deras berlanjut hingga 29 November 2025.

He said the state government was increasing preparedness through 24-hour monitoring at all vulnerable points.

Security assets are being mobilized and important logistics are provided to ensure immediate emergency measures for the safety of residents.

"I would like to urge all Johor residents to always be aware of weather developments and follow the official announcements from PRABN, JPS, and MetMalaysia," he said in a Facebook post, quoted from Bernama.

He urged full cooperation with the security agency if an evacuation order was issued for mutual safety.

"Let us all pray together that the weather will stabilize again and Johor will be kept away from any disaster," he added.

"May Allah SWT protect the state and all the people of Johor. God willing."
